Scientists believe the cave and others like it were created by lava tubes that are so large that “entire cities could fit inside” according to a LiveScience article posted on August 15, 2020.

Since the discovery of the cave, Japan, NASA and the European Space Agency have been searching for the best way to explore the cave’s interior. So, space scientists and engineers are busy designing and then testing their cave rover ideas in lava tubes here on Earth.  Two of the prototypes are shown below during their trial runs.

Professor Johan Reinhard and Dr. Constanza Ceruti, a high-altitude archaeologist, led a team of high-mountain explorers to the top of the Llullaillaco (U-U-YAH-CO) Volcano which is on the border of Argentina and Chile.

To the amazement of all, they discovered frozen mummies of three Incan children who had been sacrificed atop the 22,100-foot volcano at least 500 years ago. They were buried with various objects including gold and silver statues. The mummies were discovered in 1999 and remain the best-preserved mummies in the world.

A great deal has been learned by analyzing the young woman’s hair.  Before she was selected for sacrifice, she ate a potato-based peasant diet, but that changed during the last year of her life.  Then she was fed a rich diet that included meat and maize.  It also included large amounts of coca and alcohol.

Scientists believe The Llullaillaco Maiden would have passed away quietly because of the high elevation, extreme cold, and the high amount of alcohol and coca she had consumed. The young boy was not as fortunate.  His body showed signs of distress and vomit was found on his clothing.

Life and murder of 5300-year-old “Otzi the Iceman”

Otzi was a mere 5’2” and about 46 years old when he died.  He had 61 tattoos, was left-handed and had brown eyes and hair. Sadly, pain was part of his life. His nose and several of his ribs had been broken.  Plus, he suffered with cavities, intestinal parasites, Lyme disease, arthritis and heart disease.

Otzi was a well-dressed hunter.  He wore a bear fur hat; leggings and two coats made from domesticated sheep and goat hides; a grass cloak and shoes made with leather, cords and grass.

Otzi’s equipment was scattered around him and included a wood-frame backpack, a deerskin quiver with 20 arrow shafts, a container for carrying embers and tinder so fires could be started quickly, an awl and needle, and the only dagger and copper axe that still exist from the Neolithic Age. More than 400 artifacts were found around him.

Scientists were able to completely decode Otzi’s DNA which revealed that his paternal genetic line can still be found in the Mediterranean islands, particularly Sardinia.  However, his maternal genetics no longer exist in the world.

It’s worth mentioning that the name “Otzi” was given to the iceman because his frozen body was found in the Otztal Alps along the border of Italy and Austria.

Many people know about the mysterious Brown Mountain Lights in Linville Gorge northwest of Morganton, NC but few know about the mysterious Cherokee Lights that can be seen from the Thomas Divide Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The overlook is about five miles from Highway 441 in Cherokee. 

It’s actually a rite of passage for local teens to park their vehicles at the Thomas Divide Overlook at night and flash their car lights into the black-velvet emptiness to attract the orbs of light.  Multiple eyewitnesses have had success with this.

One of the oldest personal accounts of mysterious mountain lights in Cherokee comes from Jerry Wolfe, a respected elder in the Cherokee community and an employee at the local museum.

Wolfe, who’s almost 90, remembers his first encounter with the lights when he was 16.

He was walking home with a friend along the parkway late one night when they saw an erratic set of car headlights on a distant mountainside — or so they thought.

“Those two lights would go in, disappear, then they’d come out, then go into a valley and disappear,” Wolfe said. “They’d be on the ridge, in and out, in and out.”

The next day they investigated the area the lights seemed to be coming from — where Big Cove meets the Great Smoky Mountains National Park — and he realized those were no headlights.

“There’s no highway up there,” Wolfe said. “That’s the roughest terrain there is.”

NOTE: The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians gave Jerry Wolfe the title of “Beloved Man” which is the tribe’s highest honorific title.  The title is so highly-regarded that it hadn’t been bestowed on anyone else since the early 1800s. Wolfe was born in 1924 and died in 2018. His first experience with the Cherokee Lights would have been around 1940.

Dr. Wernher von Braun and Clark McClelland met while working on the NASA’s Saturn 1 mission.

Clark McClelland first met Dr. Wernher von Braun in 1959 and their paths crossed many times between then and 1966.  A friendship developed when both men were working on NASA’s Saturn 1 mission. Plus, they shared a deep interest in astronomy, space travel and life beyond Earth.

Their most private conversations often happened when Clark was co-hosting NASA award ceremonies at various Cocoa Beach hotels.  During those occasions, Dr. von Braun (WVB) would invite Clark to join him on his smoke breaks.  The two would seek out lounge chairs overlooking the ocean or the pool and away from other people. Below are revelations WVB made to Clark about Mars and extraterrestrials.

CLARK: “I asked him (WVB) what his thoughts were on whether Mars had ever been inhabited.  He replied by saying that he thought we would eventually find evidence that life had evolved on the red planet hundreds of thousands of years ago.  He even alluded to the possibility of our discovering ancient ruins of buildings or technology on the planet’s surface during future orbital photographic or manned Mars missions. . . He said he would not be surprised that some type of life was still surviving on or below the Martian surface.”

“He also alluded to the two moons of Mars and their small size saying they may have been captured asteroids.  These were remnants of the planet that once orbited between Mars and Jupiter. He continued by stating that there was a possibility that the race on Mars were forced to escape their planet due to the destructive force that perhaps tore the planet apart that was between Mars and Jupiter eons ago.  After all, their closest habitable neighbor was Earth. 

“He then floored me with the next theory he had, that Mars may have had an advanced civilization technologically capable of space flight; that when it began to lose its atmosphere or faced destruction from the planet near Jupiter exploding, their having the capability of space flight allowed them to sustain their culture by actually coming to Earth.  He said that at least some of those of our present human culture may be Martians.”

CLARK: “I said, what have you seen of UFOs here in the USA and or in Germany? He was not surprised by my question.  He said he has observed unknown craft while in Germany and in the USA.  That took me somewhat by surprise since he had never said anything about UFOs before.”

 “What do you know about the giant star in the Hyades, called Aldebaran?

‘I am very aware of Aldebaran and the Aryan Race living on that giant planet orbiting the star. . . Clark, the Aryans from Aldebaran arrived on Earth many, many thousands of years ago.  Most recently, in the early 1930s, they were here assisting the German Armies, Luftwaffe, with weapons that were far ahead of those of the USA, Russia, and Japan. . . Yes, I have seen real ETs from Aldebaran.’

“How different are they from the human races?

‘Taller and many have the blond hair and blue eyes.  I have heard others of us Germans at KSC (Kennedy Space Center) admit they saw them.’

“He said that Earth is a nursery of many cosmic races from the stars. . . I never expected to hear these personal disclosures from such a renowned scientist. . . Then I asked him the no, no question.  What was his belief as far as the existence of UFOs and aliens?

‘I have said this before, Clark, it is as impossible to confirm them in the present as it will be to deny their existence in the future! We are being visited by other intelligences from other stars.’”

Extra fingers may be genetic link to giants and ETs

According to an article in Medical News Today, one in 700 to 1,000 babies in the USA is born with extra fingers and/or extra toes.  This condition is called polydactylism. Since giant skeletons have been found around the world with six fingers and toes, perhaps this condition indicates some people today may still carry the DNA of giants.

It is well known that giants are written about many times in the Bible, but the first book of Chronicles specifically describes a giant with six fingers and six toes.

“In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot – twenty-four in all.  He also was descended from Rapha.  When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David’s brother, killed him.” (1 Chronicles 20:6-7)

To make this more interesting, the Bible says the “Sons of God” (other sources say advanced space beings) mated with humans, creating giants. If true, this might indicate that polydactylism may ultimately have come from the DNA of extraterrestrials.

“At the time of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster,” Clark wrote, “I learned that Kennedy Space Center (KSC) had approximately 18 to 19 Libyan nationals ‘working’ at KSC!  Yes, you all read it correctly.  Idiots at NASA and in DC.

“How on earth would NASA and the Pentagon allow what could be enemy agents to work at such a secret base?  Now perhaps the reader can understand why many foreign nations refer to the USA as a very stupid country. . .

“You need to understand that at the KSC many of us already knew that the Challenger was destroyed by sabotage.  It was a word banned from any usage at KSC or those guilty would be placed in Federal Prison.  I came close to being put in that prison.”

Clark believed the USA chose to retaliate. “Our intentions being we were going to try and kill Muammar Al-Gaddafi in Libya. . . Was this an act of total revenge by the USA?  Bet on it,”  he wrote.  Gaddafi was attacked on April 14, 1986, about three months after the Challenger was destroyed during liftoff.

NASA SECRET: ET caught twice by NASA cameras

This is the second in a series of postings about NASA secrets released by Clark McClelland before his death on April 22, 2021 at age 85.  The following information is from a collection of his papers that were published for him by Harry Cooper on May 17, 2021 in a book titled “SPACE! THE FINAL FRONTIER - Secrets NASA doesn’t want you to know.” You can learn more about Clark’s 35-year career with NASA in the first posting in this series.

FIRST ET - In 1991 when Clark McClelland was monitoring video screens of the Space Shuttle from the Kennedy Space Center, he saw a giant 8 to 9-foot ET in the Space Shuttle payload bay along with two human astronauts. He also observed a strange alien spacecraft in orbit to the rear of the shuttle’s main booster engines.

“This observation was one minute and seven seconds long,” Clark wrote. “It was plenty of time to record it in my memory for a lifetime.  I am artistic and sketched it immediately.  An advanced artist finished concept that is exactly what I saw.”

Clark never publicly identified the mission in which he saw the ET, most likely to shield the astronauts onboard from press inquiries.  All we know is that it was one of six NASA Space Shuttle launches in 1991.

SECOND ET – The same or similar 8 to 9-foot ET was observed by one of Clark’s friends and fellow aerospace engineer during a top-secret mission that was launched from Kennedy Space Center.  The ET was observed inside the Space Shuttle crew compartment interacting with the astronauts.  The visitor must have been really cramped within a compartment designed for astronauts no taller than six feet. 

Once the ET was observed by NASA in Houston, mission control jammed the crew compartment camera so the ET no longer could be seen by anyone on Earth.

men at NASA. Clark McClelland knew them both and reported directly to Dr. Debus.

During Clark McClelland’s 35 years at NASA, he got to know many top-tier German scientists and engineers who were brought to the USA after World War II to work on the USA space program.  Through the associations and friendships Clark made with some of these men, he learned some unexpected things.

●“Several Germans I worked with were very open with me.  They said that Hitler and Eva did not die in the bunker that history teaches us as fact.  He had a doppelganger twin take his place.”

Yes, the Germans were also advanced in such subterranean construction techniques in the South Polar Region under the ice cap.”

●“Yes, under the ice of Antarctica, the South Pole, was built into and below into the geographic continent.  It is no doubt that Shangri-La. Was it a base forever and may it yet exist today? Bet on it.

NASA SECRET:  ET structures and mining on Moon

Astronaut James Irwin was a friend of Clark McClelland. During a conversation between the two, Irwin told Clark what he saw on the Moon.  Below are excerpts of what Irwin said.

“Yes, Dave [Scott] and I observed several small whitish or metallic objects flying overhead. . . Whatever those things were, they had intelligence; performing tight angular dives and port and starboard sweeps above us. . . We heard no sound of thrust . . . They were very fast critters.”

“Yes, there were what we called ‘lunar tracks’ on the surface as I recall . . . just like vehicle tracks which was very strange because we had not been traveling there in the Lunar Rover before we made this visit. They were not made by any other known craft of the USA or the USSR, for that matter. . . It almost appeared as exploratory mining activities into the lunar surface with a few what appeared as efforts of mine diggings, so to speak.”

“I also briefly saw what appeared to be as ‘structures’ in the far distance above and beyond the mountains of Hadley Rill . . . Structures that appeared like glass or crystalline; high above the lunar horizon.  I had a good view of whatever it was or is.”

Clark explained that Irwin had taken 15 photos of the craft and structures that he saw but NASA or the Department of Defense wouldn’t allow him to see his own photos.

“I was able to briefly view at least one of those photos supposedly showing those strange crystal structures and to my complete amazement, none of those structures was shown on that specific photo.  It was as if all on the horizon was erased or replaced.

“Chile has become a favorite among UFO-seekers from around the world,” says globetrotter Jim Dobson who also is a contributing writer for Forbes Magazine.  “The country has the highest recorded number of UFO sightings due to its low humidity, high altitude ridges and clear skies with little pollution.”

If a high-altitude, four-hour horse ride sounds a bit rough, then consider observing the skies from the Elqui Domos Astronomical Hotel.  It is in the Andes Mountains 310 miles north of Santiago, the country’s capital. It is one of the few astronomical hotels in the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere that’s open to the public.

The hotel has a restaurant, an astronomical observatory, an outdoor pool, seven geodesic domes and four observatory-style cabins.  The domes have a private bathroom and living room on the first floor and a bed on the mezzanine where you can open the dome’s roof and stargaze or search the skies for UFOs.

Surprise lesson from a near-death experience

Those who’ve had a near-death experience (NDE) speak of a life review where they are shown the impact of their words and actions on everyone and everything around them.  To their surprise, seemingly small insignificant things they’ve done in life sometimes are more highly valued in the spirit world than big things. “They blew the whole thing up! The bastards blew it all up,” John E. Brandenburg sobbed when he fully understood the data collected by NASA’s Viking Mission to Mars.  Not only did the mission obtain high resolution images of the planet’s surface, it collected samples from its surface and atmosphere.

When Brandenburg showed a fellow scientist the data on the level of Xenon 129 on Mars, the man’s reaction said it all.  He frowned and looked troubled and then said, “Somebody nuked them. That’s what the Xenon 129 super-abundance means.”

FOURTH, Brandenburg hopes this and his other books will serve as warnings that nuclear weapons could destroy Earth just like they decimated Mars.

Farmers find ancient world beneath their ponds

When four Chinese farmers drained several ponds on their land, they discovered five manmade caverns hidden beneath the ponds.  Eventually, a huge 2000-year-old complex of 24 grottoes spanning an area of 320,000 feet was discovered. Some of the grottoes are huge, reaching a height of 98 feet.  Notice the size of the people in the first photo below and the intricate bas-relief carvings in the others.

There is a great variety of cavern designs, plus well-engineered bridges, skylights, tunnel-like hallways, gutters and water systems in the grottoes.  For the most part, the grotto complex remains an enigma even 29 years after the discovery was made in 1992.  To learn more and see more photos, type Longyou Caves in your search bar.

At least 27 “new” Ancient Maya ruins found

Remnants of the ancient Maya civilization have been hidden for centuries beneath heavy vegetation and rainforests. Now, thanks to airborne LIDAR technology, they are emerging for all to see.

It took archaeologists 20 years on foot to survey nine square kilometersat Caracol, but with airborne LIDAR, 200 square kilometers were mapped in about six days and with better resolution.

ABOUT LIDAR – The simplest explanation is that LIDAR measures distances by illuminating the target with laser light and then measures the reflection with a sensor to create 3-D digital images. The first prototype was built in 1961 by Hughes Aircraft Company which built the first laser a year earlier. Ten years later, NASA used LIDAR to map the Moon during the 1971 Apollo 15 mission.

It’s hard to fathom, but it wasn’t until 2012 that scientists found the exact location of a long-lost legendary city known as Ciudad Blanca (White City) or City of the Monkey God.  

The ancient ruins have been hidden for centuries beneath the dense Honduran jungle and protected by deadly creatures that make the region uninhabitable for humans: the Fer de Lance snakes, some of the deadliest in the world; mosquitos carrying malaria; sandflies that transmit White Leprosy that eats away people’s faces; jaguars and a host of disease-carrying insects and parasites.  Then there are torrential rains and killer mudholes.

Beyond these life-threatening obstacles, the Ciudad Blanca ruins are so covered by jungle growth that an archaeologist could walk over them and never know they were there.  It took laser-imaging technology to find the lost city of Honduras.

In June 2012, a team of scientists flew over the area where legends say the lost city is located.  They flew at a steady elevation and in a systematic pattern while using LIDAR equipment to shoot billions of laser pulses at the ground. The end result was a 3-D digital map of the topology beneath the thick jungle canopy.  Below is one of the LIDAR images that reveals manmade structures that were impossible to see from the plane.

In 2015, an exploratory team of researchers finally macheted their way into the formidable jungle.  Below are photos of three of the hundreds of artifacts archaeologists eventually found, and continue to find, at the site.
