Obama mentions Area 51 at Kennedy Center Honors It was done with humor, but on December 9, 2013, President Obama became the first U.S. president to publically mention Area 51 – the infamous secret facility in Nevada associated with alien spacecraft. The following is what Obama said at the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors ceremony as he turned his attention to Shirley MacLaine.  Though she was honored for her acting and dancing, Obama’s introduction was aimed at her “Out on a Limb” views on extraterrestrial life.  His comments brought laughter from Shirley and the audience. Now, when you first become president, one of the questions people ask you is “What’s really going on at Area 51?” (pause) When I wanted to know, I called Shirley MacLaine. I think I just became the first president to ever publically mention Area 51.  How’s that? 	An 11-year-old witness to a pivotal point in global history died on August 24, 2013 at the age of 76. He died quickly from a heart attack with a UFO book on his lap.  It seemed a fitting exit for a man whose life was transformed by the alien spacecraft crash in Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947. Jesse Marcel, Jr. was sound asleep one night shortly after the crash when his dad abruptly woke him and told him to come to the kitchen to see what he had found.  The normally calm and cool commander of the most advanced bomb group in the world, Army Major Jesse Marcel, Sr., couldn’t hide his excitement. “Though my father was the senior intelligence officer on a base that was home to the country’s most closely guarded secrets,” Jesse states in his book about the Roswell saga, “he was, to his family, a pretty laid-back guy, who took everything in stride.  But on that night, I saw another side of him.  It was a mixture of excitement and confusion, suffused with a sense of wonder that one just doesn’t see in many grown men.” When young Jesse arrived in the kitchen, both his parents were there and debris was spread out on the floor. “My dad spoke very excitedly to us about the material,” Jesse wrote in his book, “telling us that these were parts from a ‘flying saucer.’  At that time, I was not entirely sure what was meant by a ‘flying saucer,’ but I knew from his demeanor that this was something very special.” Above is a drawing by Dr. Jesse Marcel, Jr. of one of the metallic I-beams his father brought home from the alien craft that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico.  He wrote on the drawing that “The color of the symbols was of a violet or purplish metallic hue” and that the I-beam was “18-inches in length” and was “fractured” at each end. Major Jesse Marcel, Sr. was commanded to pose for this photo with material from a weather balloon to help the government hide the truth about the Roswell crash. I-beams and debris are only part of a story that is so mind expanding that the U.S. government has worked diligently to quash it since 1947.  As part of that effort, Major Marcel became the fall guy.  He was portrayed as a dummy who couldn’t tell the difference between an alien craft and a weather balloon.  To make matters worse, he wasn’t allowed to speak the truth during his lifetime.  However, Major Jesse Marcel, Sr. had a truth insurance policy.  His son promised to tell the whole truth after his dad’s death.   In 2009, the truth came out in a book by Jesse Marcel, Jr. and his wife Linda titled “The Roswell Legacy.”

Book cover – Scene from the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” A true story of interplanetary travel For years there’s been Internet skuttlebutt about 12 military men traveling to a distant planet, living there for years, and then returning to Earth.  It sounded like pure science fiction.  Now a new book, “SECRET JOURNEY TO PLANET SERPO – A True Story of Interplanetary Travel,” offers convincing evidence that the saga really happened.  The book was written by a credible researcher and author, Len Kasten, and became available to the public in May 2013.
	Len Kasten is a graduate of Cornell University, saw his first UFO while in the U.S. Air Force, and has been intrigued with UFOs and aliens ever since. After years of self-education on those subjects, he joined the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) and eventually became the organization’s president.   He has served as editor of Horizons Magazine and by 2010 had written more than 50 articles for Atlantis Rising Magazine. Since at least the mid-1990s, he’s pushed for the U.S. government to release its UFO and alien information.
In chapter 18 of his book, Kasten makes a fascinating case that Steven Spielberg’s movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind was based on an actual top-secret voyage by 12 military men to Planet Serpo.  At one point, he writes: It is very evident from all this that Spielberg must have had a “Deep Throat” giving him detailed information about Project Serpo.  And, because of the timing, it is also clear that this was not part of an official public acclimation plan intended to condition the mass consciousness, but rather a deliberate leak by a rogue insider who wanted the public to know what was going on. Kasten emphasized this point because the movie came out a year before the interplanetary voyagers had safely returned to Earth.  Without their safe return, the government would not likely have “sponsored” a movie to acclimate the public to the idea of interplanetary travel.
A brief statement by Spielberg regarding the movie also indicates the information came from a rogue insider: “I really found my faith when I learned that the government was opposed to the film.  If NASA took the time to write me a twenty-page letter, then I knew there must be something happening.” One actor in movie, Bob Balaban, also made a statement indicating the reality behind the movie when he said:  “Spielberg tells me about the film.  It’s about UFOs, he says, but it is not science fiction.  He calls it ‘science fact.’” The photo on the right shows Spielberg during filming of “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”
The movie connection in Kasten’s book is only one chapter.  The book primarily is devoted to the extraordinary adventure of the incredibly brave men who dared to travel to an unknown planet and then live in an alien environment for ten years without knowing if they’d ever be able to return safely to Earth. Because of difficulty keeping track of Earth time, they actually were gone for 13 years. The beginning of Kasten’s book, however, gets mixed reviews.  Some would rather get right to the grand adventure.  Others are happy Kasten exposes the extent of extraterrestrial involvement with the U.S. and German governments going back to World War II.  The extraterrestrial interaction with humans in Antarctica since the 1930s will be new information for many readers.

	Karen Silkwood, was a chemical technician at the Kerr-McGee nuclear plant who became a union activist protesting health and safety issues at the facility. In 1974, she testified before the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission about her concerns.  A few months later, she died in a mysterious car accident while on her way to deliver evidence to a “New York Times” reporter.  Silkwood’s family sued Kerr-McGee on behalf of her estate.  Even though the jury found the corporation liable for plutonium contamination and awarded substantial damages, the case became tangled in legal appeals until it reached the U.S. Supreme Court which upheld the damages verdict.
	Dr. Jeffrey Wigand, former head of research for the Brown & Williamson tobacco company, became the highest ranking former tobacco industry executive to blow the whistle on the industry’s use of certain addictive ingredients in tobacco products when he appeared on the “60 Minutes” television news program in 1995.  He was portrayed by Russell Crowe in the movie “The Insider.”
	Daniel Ellsberg copied and leaked the Pentagon Papers – 7,000 pages of classified documents - which implicated the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations in misleading the public and Congress about the Vietnam War.  Charges were filed against Ellsberg but dismissed after a Nixon White House team broke into Ellsberg’s office.  In 2002, Ellsberg released his book “Secrets” describing his experience which in turn inspired a 2009 documentary titled “The Most Dangerous Man in America.”
	W. Mark Felt was known only as “Deep Throat” until 2005, but years earlier in 1972 he leaked information about President Richard Nixon’s involvement in the break-in of the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C.  The scandal eventually led to the resignation of President Nixon and the eventual incarceration of 43 individuals including dozens of Nixon’s top administration officials.
Peter Buxtun (far right) who worked for the U.S. Public Health Service at the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama exposed one of the most disgraceful episodes in U.S. history.  Beginning in 1932, medical personnel pretended they were giving medicine to poor Black men to treat their disease.  Instead they were conducting the “Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male.” Buxtun filed official protests in 1966 and again in 1968 but nothing was done about the cruel study until he finally leaked the story in 1972 to the “Washington Star.”  It became front-page news in the “New York Times” the next day.  Senator Edward Kennedy then called for a Congressional hearing and shortly after that the experiment was ended after 40 years.

Action writer Mack Maloney’s new book: “Beyond Area 51” Mack Maloney writes action fiction – more than 40 books – and is best known for his Wingman series.  He’s also written other series:  Chopper Ops, Super Hawks, Starhawk and Pirate Hunters. Now he’s brought his fast-moving writing style to the realm of nonfiction with his brand-new book “Beyond Area 51” that was just released July 2, 2013.  Maloney’s journalistic training also came into play as he searched for the truth about UFOs, aliens and secret facilities. In puddle-jumper* style, Maloney briefly touches down at one secret/mysterious site after another in the United States.   Then in part two of his book, he embarks on a quick tour of secret sites around the world, even in Iraq, Russia and the Himalayan Mountains.  His brief touchdowns will intrigue readers and inspire some to delve deeper into the subjects he presents. Ruins older than Giza, bigger than Los Angeles By Mary Joyce, website editor A bush pilot and photographer, Johan Heine, was the first to discover mysterious prehistoric ruins in South Africa in 2003.  From his eagle view, he found three city-size clusters of ruins, and each cluster covered an area equal to that of Los Angeles. Before his find, everyone scoffed at an acclaimed shaman and healer, Credo Mutwa, who proclaimed a very ancient civilization once existed in South Africa.  He’s been vindicated.  The ruins appear to be the oldest in the world – older than the Great Pyramid of Giza. Heine, too, was scoff at when he offered a free flight over the ruins to historians, archaeologists and geologists from various universities in South Africa. The “experts” said the ruins were just old corrals built by nomadic tribes for their animals.  Michael Tellinger, author of “Slave Species of God,” was the only one who took the free flight.  Why? Because he already knew the stone tablets of Sumer, the oldest known civilization on Earth, declared human life began in South Africa. After that flight, Heine and Tellinger explored the South African bush together and eventually Tellinger wrote three books about their discoveries.  In late May 2013, his latest book, “African Temples of the Anunnaki” became available in the United States.  It’s a coffee table book jammed with full-color photos and packed with mind-expanding information that will make serious thinkers really think.

ET disclosure film received well at Cannes Film Festival The red carpet at the 66th annual Cannes Film Festival in France Beck Horne, a long-time advocate for UFO disclosure, reported to us that the film “Sirius” was well received at the 66th annual Cannes Film Festival in May 2013. “When the film’s director, Amardeep Kaleka, and the Neverending Light production team were in Cannes, they were given high praise from those in the industry,” Beck reported. “The biggest accolade of all,” he said, “was that many industry insiders believe ‘Sirius’ should be up for an Academy Award.  Even a nomination would put the subject matter in ‘Sirius’ on the world map.”  The film currently is showing in New York and Los Angeles and Beck encourages people living in those cities to seek it out.  “The more people who see the film at a theater,” he emphasizes, “the greater the chance it will be distributed to a wider audience.”  We’d like to thank Beck for staying on top of the evolution of this groundbreaking film. – The editor

For, the Word spoken to us does not seem to exclude an equivalent ‘Word’ spoken to aliens.  They, too, could have had their ‘Logos-event.’  Whatever that event might have been, it does not have to be a repeated death-and-resurrection if we allow God more imagination than some religious thinkers seem to have had.  For God, as omnipotent, is not restricted to one form of language, the human.” Padre Pio was a Capuchin Catholic priest who may be the most recognized person bearing stigmata in the palms of his hands.  He died in 1968 and was canonized (declared a saint) by Pope John Paul II in 2002. ● “The Lord certainly did not limit his glory to this small Earth.  On other planets other beings exist who did not sin and fall as we did.” ● “Do you think they (aliens) don’t exist and that God’s omnipotence is limited to this small planet Earth?  What else?  Do you think there are no other beings who love the Lord?” Vatican observatories and the LUCIFER telescope   The Vatican Observatory is one of the oldest astronomical research institutions in the world. It has its headquarters at the papal summer residence in Castel Gandolfo, Italy, outside Rome.  In the 1930s two telescopes and an astrophysical laboratory were constructed.  In 1957 a Schmidt wide-angle telescope was added.  The photos below show the “VATT” and “LUCIFER” telescopes on Mt. Graham in southeastern Arizona. With high levels of pollution reducing visibility in Italy, the Vatican established a second observatory at the top of Mt. Graham, a 10,724-foot mountain in southeastern Arizona, in the early 1990s.  Its telescope is nicknamed “VATT” which stands for Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope.  It is one of the world’s highest resolution and most technologically advanced optical telescopes.  All that sounds great, but why was the latest telescope at Mt. Graham named LUCIFER? Here is an April 23, 2010 article that presents this puzzling question: University of Arizona, Vatican and Jesuits name new telescope “LUCIFER” By Greg Szymanski, JD The University of Arizona, together with the Vatican and Jesuit Order, announced today it named its newest high-powered telescopic instrument ‘Lucifer’. There has been a great deal of speculation, among Vatican critics, why in the first place the Jesuit Order was allowed to build a huge stellar observatory on Mt. Graham in Arizona – on holy Indian ground – in cooperation with the state-run University of Arizona. With the naming of Lucifer, critics claim the Vatican has showed its true colors, using God and Jesus as shills for their true master — Lucifer. According to an article in Popular Science by Rebecca Boyle the “new instrument with an evil-sounding name is helping scientists see how stars are born.” The article went to explain the name Lucifer stands for (deep breath) “Large Binocular Telescope Near-infrared Utility with Camera and Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research.” “And yes,” according to Popular Science, “ it’s named for the Devil, whose name itself means “morning star.” However, according to a spokesman for the University of Arizona, it wasn’t meant to evoke any connotations of evil. . . . Sculptured stone circle older than Stonehenge   It wasn’t discovered until 1964, but it took 30 more years before Gobekli Tepe was proven to be more than just a location of stone-age activity.  That’s when German archaeologist Klaus Schmidt with the University of Heidelberg revealed that the site dates back to 9500 BC – 7,000 years before Stonehenge and 5,500 years before the first cities of Mesopotamia. The ancient manmade structure was found 35 miles north of Turkey’s border with Syria and consists of 20 T-shaped stone towers carved with clear images of snakes, scorpions, lions, boars, foxes and other animals.  According to conventional scientists, such ancient images shouldn’t exist because humans at that time had no agriculture, no pottery and survived by hunting and gathering.  Once again, archaeologists have proven that well-developed human civilizations existed before our traditional view of human history. Evidence that Winter Storm Nemo created by HAARP February 8, 2013 – HAARP frequency magnitude maps went from red to magenta as Winter Storm Nemo headed for its East Coast bull’s eye.  As of this date, forecasters predict the blizzard most likely will be the worst ever in that region, or at least in the top five of devastating winter storms. HAARP frequency maps for February 5th and 7th NOTE: HAARP essentially is a massive electromagnetic tool for manipulating weather by changing the Earth’s ionosphere. Originally it was developed as a bloodless weapon of war. Cherokee Little People real, may be from stars By Mary A. Joyce, website editor I never heard of Cherokee Little People until I moved to North Carolina in 1998 and began making friends with some of the Cherokees.  Then in the summer of 2000, I started my own research into the subject and eventually interviewed eleven people, mostly in their 80s, who had seen evidence that the Little People were real.*    That research came back to mind in January 2013 when I read “Encounters with Star People: Untold Stories of American Indians.” The book was written by an American Indian, Ardy Sixkiller Clarke, who interviewed American Indians around the United States about their Star People encounters.  The following quote describing “Moon People” (another Cherokee name for “The Little People”) implied they were not originally from Earth.   The Cherokee Indians tell that when they first came to the southeastern United States, they found many well-tended gardens but not the people who cared for them.  Eventually, they discovered a group of people who lived underground and came out only at night to tend the gardens.  They harvested the food and took it underground to their cities.  These people were small, had blue skin and large black eyes.  The sun rays were too harsh for them so they built their cities underground and only came out at night using the light of the moon.  The Cherokee called them the “Moon People.” When I read this, I remembered something specific from my interview with T. Walter Middleton who told me: In my opinion, there were two different kinds of Little People.  The ones I’ve been talking about were more like the Cherokee.  Evidently, they were black-headed and black-eyed and had a dark complexion.  The other Little People had come from a different source because they had reddish whiskers and they squinted their eyes as if the sun hurt their eyes. . . . The Cherokee said they killed the red whiskered ones.  The Cherokee said they cleaned them out.  I don’t know why, but the Cherokee didn’t like them from the beginning.  They didn’t like the looks of them because they weren’t like us. As a young man, T. Walter Middleton was one of the first men to look into a newly found but ancient tunnel built by the Cherokee Little People. He was a World War II hero and later a pastor and author of four books including “Qualla – Home of the Middle Cherokee Settlement.” ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Walter was part of a work crew that uncovered three ancient little tunnels when digging out a basement beneath the McKee Building on the Western Carolina University (WCU) campus in Cullowhee, North Carolina in the late1940s. “I was down in front of one, peeking into it,” he told me.  “The best I remember, it was about two feet wide.  I doubt if it were that wide, but about two feet wide and three feet high. . . . It wasn’t real sharp, but you could tell it had been dug by human hands – no doubt. . . . There were a hundred of us, more or less, working there – students and veterans.  I don’t recall who all saw them, but I know it was a big group of people that saw them.” “CHILD’S SKULL” WITH WISDOM TEETH: Later at another location on campus, an old mound with a tunnel into it was bulldozed and two skeletons were found.  “I do know that the child’s skull was used as a paperweight on one of the college teacher’s desk for a long time,” Walter said. Then one day Winona Hooper, a high school English teacher, saw the skull on the desk.  “When she passed by the skull on the desk, she picked it up and looked at it,” Walter said.  “Whoever was at the desk told her it was a child’s skull that came out of the mound, and she (Hooper) said that was the only child she’d ever seen that had a full set of teeth, including wisdom teeth.” MOONSHINERS FIND “PILE” OF CHILD-SIZE BONES: South of campus and up Old Cullowhee Mountain Road, Walter said moonshiners also discovered some little skeletons. “Two of them were Woodrings,” Walter explained.  “Jimmy was one and Lick or Alec was the other.  They were making whiskey together.  They were digging where they could establish a pretty good moonshine place, and they ran into these children’s skeletons, and there were quite a few of them.  They called them a pile of bones, but they were child-size bones. MINERS DISCOVER ANCIENT LITTLE TUNNELS: Another man in his late 80s, Johnny Clayton, told me about other little tunnels that were found south of the WCU campus. “Well, my daddy was involved with various things, including a mica mine he had going up on Wilson Creek,” Johnny began.  “ Johnny explained that the miners working for his father were digging new tunnels looking for mica when then ran into little tunnels that already were there.   “They came to our house on a Saturday,” he began.  “I don’t know if that was payday or not ‘cause I was just a kid, and they told about these tunnels that they’d run into.  Everyone was excited about them.  I know it excited me, too.  “After hearing about the tunnels on Saturday, dad went up to the mine on Sunday and looked at the tunnels.  He was very excited about them, but on Monday when he went back there, they’d fallen in.  Between Sunday and Monday, they fell in.  I reckon the air caused them to cave in . . . . and they’d been blasting in there, too. Recent archaeological find:  shaman’s rock or star map? By Mary Joyce, website editor Judaculla Rock in early 2000s and in 1930s when the petroglyphs were filled in with white chalk Judaculla Rock in Jackson County, North Carolina is a BIG petroglyph puzzle.  According to Dave Tabler, editor of the Appalachian History website, “Judaculla Rock is one of the greatest archaeological mysteries in the United States, the largest petroglyph in North Carolina and one of the largest in the Southeast.”  Nobody has figured it out. The mystery became even BIGGER in 1999 when Charlene Rector and Jackie Hooper discovered another mystery rock just four miles from Judaculla Rock.  They dubbed it “Baby Judaculla” because it is approximately 10 by 8 feet compared to its big brother who measures approximately 16 x 11 feet. Baby Judaculla Rock with cup-like depressions highlighted in red “I called the state archaeologist’s office when we began discovering lots of arrowheads on our property,” explains Charlene, “and archaeologist David Moore, PhD, a professor at Warren Wilson College, came out to our farm and walked the property with me.  Then, all of a sudden, he turned around and looked at the big stone that stands alone in a field near our pond and stream.   He said, ‘I’m more interested in this rock.’  I told him we call it Baby Judaculla because it has cup-like depressions on it. “Moore said at that time there were only six of those stones in North Carolina - three of them were in Jackson County,” Charlene continues.  “One is Judaculla Rock that is about four miles the way the crow flies over to the northeast and another one is about four miles to the southeast, and this stone.  So they make a triangle. “Moore considered the possibility that the cup-like depressions might be from grinding food, but I pointed out that pieces of the rock break off very easily and would wear away your teeth in no time. Then he thought it might have been used to make instruments like arrowheads, and again it’s too porous a rock to do that. “Later a former university professor looked at Baby Judaculla.  He said the Cherokee believe they originated from the Pleiades and that Baby Judaculla might be an ancient star map. Charlene Rector - Scott Ashcraft’s field sketch of Baby Judaculla showing cup-like depressions “Eventually through the efforts of Moore and archaeologist Scott Ashecraft who are involved with the Rock Art Project, the Baby Judaculla Rock site was placed on the Prehistoric Registry (#31JK554) on January 6, 2011. “According to the archaeological experts, the Cherokee had a camp on the ridge adjacent to our property.  Since the shaman always lived away from the main camp and always lived near water, it’s my suggestion that Baby Judaculla might be the spot where the shaman performed rituals or got his materials for rituals, but that’s just my theory,” Charlene concludes.

Islands popping up and sinking around world According to a January 10, 2013 article in The Telegraph, an United Kingdom newspaper, a new island has been forming off the coast of Germany over the past ten years.  It is now a 34-acre sanctuary for hundreds of sea birds in the North Sea. New German island on left – Formation of new Yemeni island in other two photos Another new island has formed off the west coast of Yemen according to a NASA announcement published in The Telegraph on December 30, 2011.  The first satellite photo of Yemini islands was taken in October 2007.  The second photo shows a December 23, 2011 volcanic eruption that created a new island in Yemen’s Zubair group of islands. These are not the only new islands in the world.  Researchers from Duke University and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC conducted a state-of-the-art global survey and discovered 657 previously unknown barrier islands worldwide.  Their report was featured in an April 20, 2011 article by the Huffington Post. While some new islands are forming, there are others being submerged by the oceans of the world.  Here is a list of 20 island nations that are severely threatened:  Arctic, Bangladesh, Bermeja, Carteret, Fiji, Kiribati, India’s Lohachara and Suparibhanga Islands, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, North Sea Islands, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Sunderbans, Tonga, Torres Strait Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Zanzibar.
