Sparta

The town of Sparta in Alleghany County, NC is a center of UFO sightings.

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this sighting report on November 24, 2012 from TJ Worthington who lives near Sparta in Alleghany County, North Carolina. The witness mentions sightings from several other towns in the county plus Mount Airy in adjacent Surry County. The towns of Hillsville, Woodland and Galax are just across the Virginia border.

Sparta, North Carolina – a center of UFO sightings

For several months I have been seeing a light in the sky every night in the same region of the sky.
I see it from two locations that are about 15 miles apart.  One location is eight miles south of the town of Sparta, NC. The other location is about the same distance northeast of Sparta.

The light appears to move back and forth between Hillsville, VA and Mount Airy, NC. Of course that is an approximation.

When there is cloud cover in the higher atmosphere and no stars are visible, the light can be seen.  It looks like it’s stationery in the sky, but look again a few hours later and it has moved about the width of two full moons side by side. It is there every night in that part of the sky.

I've taken photos of it, but only get a dot.  I've seen a similar light over the western part of Alleghany County in the Piney Creek area.

A year or so ago driving to Woodlawn, VA, I saw a cluster of three lights - two white, one blue.  It was above Galax, below the clouds. I drove under it when I drove through Galax. On the way home I saw the light over what appeared to be the Cherry Lane (southeastern) section of Alleghany.  I would guestimate that it must have been traveling at about 10 mph.

Every night for many months, I’ve seen at least one light in the sky that’s brighter than any star.  Over several years, I’ve seen a lot of lights making right and left angle turns or dancing in the sky.

Yesterday in a dream during a nap, I was sitting on a rocky mountain top nearby when a saucer flew over my head, what I would guestimate was a few hundred feet above me, with another behind it.  Then I saw a round hole open in a cloud and three more saucers came out of the hole and flew over my head.

The saucers looked like two silver woks on top of each other.  The band around the place they joined together was a grid of small rectangular lights in two colors - three rows of yellow lights above, and three rows of green lights below.   Together they went around the “woks” like a hatband.

A friend who lives in the Cherry Lane part of the county says he goes out at night around ten and watches the light show in the sky. He's seeing a lot of interesting sights there.

Close sightings have occurred for several years in the Piney Creek area – landings, too.

Shooting Star

Map of western tip of North Carolina – Photo of typical shooting star

“Shooting star” transforms over NC mountains

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this eyewitness report on November 6, 2012 from Jane who lives in the Alarka community west of Bryson City, North Carolina.

On Friday, November 2, 2012 about 8:30 p.m., I had a completely unobstructed view of what I initially believed was a very large shooting star.  It was a particularly clear and beautiful, dark night sky filled with stars.

I live rather high up in the Alarka area and was looking southeast over a mountain ridge that evening.  Just as I began to wish on the shooting star, it quit acting like one.  Instead of fizzling out, this one acted quite differently.  I have never observed this before.

The width of this shooting star was approximately four to five times the size of ones I usually see.  At arm’s length, it had traveled more than four thumb-widths across the sky when it exploded into a huge white light.  Then, the periphery of the huge white light immediately burst into orange and red flame-looking lights.  Then there was nothing – absolutely nothing!!!  It was as if it had never been there at all.

I was in complete disbelief.  The only somewhat similar image I’ve ever seen was a NASA photo in a newspaper long ago of an earth object burning up as it reentered our atmosphere.  But even that image had fizzling trails of light.  What I observed on Friday just abruptly disappeared.

If anyone else observed this phenomenon, I would be extremely interested in hearing about what you saw.

NOTE:  If you wish to communicate with Jane, send your contact information to this website (www.skyshipsovercashiersnc@yahoo.com) and we will forward it to her.

Durham

A boomerang-shaped UFO was seen over Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, NC.

Boomerang-shaped UFO seen over Durham, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this sighting report on October 8, 2012 from Shirley who works at Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, NC.  It’s interesting to note that almost exactly two years ago, she reported another sighting over the same area.  You can find that report in the 2010 archives of this section of the website. We’ve included a photo of a boomerang-shaped UFO from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) files.

I am reporting yet another sighting in Durham, North Carolina.  Once again it was around Duke Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Hospital.  However, this one was right in front of Duke Clinical Research Institute where I work.

I got to see the UFO because someone ran to my cubicle and anxiously asked me to come to the window ASAP.  Others also were gathered at the window on the 4th floor looking out toward Fulton Street.

Durham

What we saw was shaped like a boomerang and very fluid.  It made me wondered if it were a plasma craft.  None of us thought it was any kind of commercial balloon.  It then wafted toward Highway 147 and changed into an elongated shape.  It looked rather sparkly the entire time.

It was almost like an in-your-face type of appearance.  It didn't seem to be in any big hurry to scat, almost like it wanted to be seen.  Eventually, though, it meandered off and totally disappeared.

After that, I ran to the receptionist on the 7th floor who watches for craft all the time.  Although she didn’t see it, she told me that all day, especially after the time of the sighting, she was seeing flashes of light whizzing by outside her window in the direction the craft had appeared.  They were still manifesting when she left work.

Wilmington
Israel Curiel, public relations director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in North Carolina, says the Wilmington/Cape Fear area of North Carolina is now the State’s number one UFO hotspot.

Wilmington now #1 hotspot in NC

The following information was presented by Israel Curiel, public relations director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) of North Carolina, at a September 15, 2012 MUFON meeting.  We’ve gleaned the information from a September 25, 2012 article by John Peaspanen who covered the meeting for the Wilmington Star News. – The Editor

“I know a lot of people want to sweep this under the rug, but this is happening,” Curiel told his audience.  Then he shared statistics, images and data he has compiled regarding sightings of UFOs in North Carolina.

“Quantifying it makes it more tangible,” he said. “In the last 18 months, there has been a significant increase.  North Carolina is very active. The only ones that outrank us are California and Texas.”

Peaspanen reported that the MUFON database shows that the Wilmington area is overwhelmingly the top UFO hotspot in North Carolina with 81 cases reported so far in 2012.  By comparison, Charlotte came in second with 43 sightings and Winston-Salem has had only nine cases this year.

“Recently, North Carolina and South Carolina have had a dramatic increase in orange fireballs,” he added.

At the time of his presentation, Curiel said there had been more than 4,500 UFO sightings in North Carolina reported to MUFON this year.  He added that there are many more sightings that go unreported.

Curiel did not just present dry statistics.  He reported watching the sky with others one night and seeing a boomerang-shaped craft.  He emphasized that when the object crossed over them that it did not make a sound.

Hawaii
On the road to the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii

Strange activities on the Big Island of Hawaii

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this report on September 18, 2012 from Holly Roark who lives in Central Florida.  After she learned about this website and read postings about underground facilities and witness reports of black helicopters, she decided to share her own story.

When I was on vacation in Hawaii with a group of friends in the late 1990s, we decided to drive up to the Mauna Kea Observatory one afternoon.  What a strange trip that was!  First of all, they don’t make it easy for anyone to get there.

Once you get on Saddle Road, the main road to get to Mauna Kea or Mauna Loa Observatories, you have to drive through a bizarre, black lava desert-looking field on a horribly rough two-lane road that is full of potholes.  You can’t see any buildings along the way, but you get this feeling that you are being watched.  It seems to be in the middle of nowhere, and we didn’t see any other cars on the road.  Since I was there, the road has been improved.

There are very large hills that look manmade in the distance to the side of the road.  There are various small roads that veer off the main road that are blocked with barricades to prevent you from going down them.  They have signs that lead you to believe the roads are barricaded because of fragile endangered plants.  It seems obvious though that these roads lead to the hills that we guessed were hidden military bases.

The black lava fields were once used by the military for a firing range.  It looks like the aftermath of a war.  We assumed the military still used these fields for some purpose.

The three of us in the car kept commenting on how creepy everything felt.  We made various comments about what was really going on under those hills with the military and we spoke of secret government activities and ET’s and cover-ups, which we had heard about from many sources.  Within a few minutes, we saw a helicopter in the sky coming our way.  As it came closer, we could see that it was black and totally unmarked.  We got scared as it hovered over us and kept pace with our car.  There weren’t any other cars on the road with us.  We spoke out loud to the helicopter that we were just passing through and didn’t want any trouble.  The helicopter followed us a bit longer then veered off and headed back.  We hurried out of there as fast as we could which was difficult because of the broken up road.

Helicopter

Going up the mountain to the Mauna Kea Observatory was another scary experience.  We had a four-wheel drive vehicle, which they said you had to have to make it up the final road.  They weren’t kidding.  The paved road ended and became gravel.  It was so steep that I thought our jeep would slide back down as we navigated the turns.

Once we made it to the observatory at the top where guests were allowed to visit, we were in for another surprise.  As we went inside we noticed that there were no workers there.  There were many offices with computers and data showing, but no one was looking at or collecting the data.  One of my friends was a computer programmer and he was baffled at the archaic computers and machinery that was there.  It’s as if the entire place was staged to look like a working scientific office.  Yet the old equipment belied the authenticity.*

There were other observatories a distance away where we were not allowed to go.  I imagine those were where the scientists were.  Where we were gave us a negative vibe and we were anxious to leave there.  It was just too creepy.  We left as soon as possible.

* This sounds like a familiar.  Another witness report to this website mentioned archaic computers being used as part of a staged scene to help hide a secret underground facility beneath the Pisgah Astronomical Research Center (PARI) near Balsam Grove, NC. Scroll down to read PARI visitor: “Lame attempt to cover up other activity.”

“Flock” of UFOs over Sapphire Valley, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received a brief email from Jerry at 10:37 p.m. on September 8, 2012 – shortly after his sighting from Sapphire Valley, North Carolina.  We tried to reach him for more details, but were unable to connect with him. It’s interesting that the UFOs he saw were coming from the west or from the Cashiers direction where there have been so many sightings. This map includes many other places where UFOs have been seen and reported to this website:  Bee Tree Road, Cullowhee Mountain Road, Highlands, Lake Glenville, Norton Road, Whiteside Mountain, Whiteside Cove Road and Yellow Mountain.

BRIEF EMAIL:  Did anyone else see what I saw about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday night September 8, 2012?  There were about 10 objects flying from west to east for at least 10 minutes over Sapphire Valley, North Carolina. - Jerry

UFO seen by many in Cherokee, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this UFO report on August 14, 2012 from Eddie and Kim who live in Whittier, NC.

Our plan was to meet friends at the ice cream shop in Saunooke Village in Cherokee, NC and watch the July 4th fireworks display together, but we got to see something more spectacular before the fireworks even started.

We were walking on Big Cove Road when suddenly about 8:30 p.m. a UFO appeared to the north of us.  It was huge.  At arm’s length it was three thumbs wide.  Remarkably, it hovered near the intersection of Acquoni Road and Highway 441 for five to six minutes.  Then poof it was gone.  It didn’t fade away or zip away, it just instantly blinked out of sight.

It was a busy night so we weren’t the only ones who saw the UFO.  There were at least 15 to 20 people right around us.  It seemed like everyone was asking “Do you see that?”

Cylindrical UFOs seen over Asheville, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this report on August 10, 2012 from Dawn who owns Star Watch Tours (www.starwatchtours.com) in Asheville, North Carolina.

I am writing to tell you about something unusual that I saw on Sunday, July 29th. This was not a stargazing event, but rather a UFO sighting in broad daylight in downtown Asheville.  I and three others saw it after the close of the city’s annual Belle Chere street festival.  The crowds were gone and clean-up crews were on the streets.

As we left a restaurant on Biltmore Avenue about 8:45 p.m., I glanced up at the sky looking south toward Mission Hospital and saw a white cylindrical object crossing a mostly blue sky.  It was moving fast but I had time to point it out to my companions.  All four of us saw it.

We watched the UFO as it seemed to get smaller and disappear into the edge of a cloud to our West. Moments later, a second white cylindrical object appeared and followed the exact same flight path as the previous one.  There was no sound, no contrail, no wings. It was very strange to see not only one, but two of these cylindrical objects!

I have looked online and found many reported sightings of similar objects across the country. The most similar sighting is from Alabama where two white cylindrical objects were reported following the same flight path around the same time of day as our sighting.

Cylinder

This cylindrical UFO seen over Alabama is similar to those
seen over Asheville, NC on July 29, 2012.

What in the world?? The frequency of sightings that occur in pairs around the same time each day has me baffled. These objects seemed too low to be in orbit.  It would seem that if they were experimental military craft, they wouldn't fly low over a major city in broad daylight for anyone to see.

UFO flies toward three women in Cashiers, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE: It’s not unusual for Glynis Heenan and her 12-year-old daughter Devon to see UFOs above their home in the mountaintop town of Cashiers, NC.  Consequently, we only report their more significant sightings.  This is one of those.

My daughter, my friend Sally and I decided to watch the annual August meteor shower the night of August 11, 2012.  So we grabbed a tarp to sit on and went to a nearby paddock that’s completely encircled with trees but has a 360-degree view of the sky.

We were facing northeast watching shooting stars for about a half hour when suddenly a bright red-orange ball of light appeared at 11:15 p.m.  Not only did it suddenly appear, but it came directly toward the three of us.   It was wider than my thumb at arm’s length when it abruptly stopped and hovered over the tree line across the paddock.  It remained there for about eight minutes.

“It’s gonna’ land, Mommy!  It’s gonna’ land!” Devon whispered excitedly while my normally chatty friend went completely silent.

Sally, who’s a bit of a skeptic, would normally blow off a UFO as a plane, a star, a planet or a satellite, but not this time.  When she finally spoke, she could only say “Well, I really don’t know what that is.”

View

This is a photo of the paddock where we went to see the shooting stars.  The red-orange ball of light hovered over the evergreen trees on the far side of the grassy area.  The three of us were sitting on the grass between the two bare trees and the line of evergreens.  By the way, this is the same paddock were I saw a sky ship land the night of February 26, 2012.

Drawing shows approximate positioning of UFOs seen by the witness

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this report from a woman who lives east of Sylva, North Carolina near the intersection of Highway 74 and Skyland Drive. Though she gave her name, she wanted to simply be identified as a “former skeptic.”

Line of UFOs moved like a rooster’s tail Rooster

On warm nights I sleep with my doors and windows open and have a clear view of the western sky from my bed.   About midnight on July 8, 2012, I awoke and saw a phenomenon I’ve never seen in the sky before.

Strangely, I couldn’t see any stars in the sky, but there were two clusters of yellowish lights.  Until I was fully awake, I thought I was seeing lightning bugs but they didn’t blink and stayed in two clusters.  I quickly realized the lights were high in the sky.

Each cluster was composed of approximately 10 lights and each cluster was about the width of my thumb at arm’s length.  There were about three thumb widths between the two clusters.

All that was odd enough, but the really puzzling thing was that six yellow lights extended in an arc from the cluster to my right.  The line was about 2.5 thumb widths in length. The lights were equally spaced and moved in unison with a slow sweeping motion that made me think of a rooster’s tail moving.  I watched this strange phenomenon for 10 to 15 minutes.  It was still happening when I decided I needed to get back to sleep.

Jackson County Airport

Park Ranger sees UFO from ridge-top airport

EDITOR’S NOTE: We received this witness report on July 7, 2012 from a park ranger who saw a UFO from the road to the ridge-top Jackson County Airport in Cullowhee, NC.  We attempted to contact the individual to see if he/she wanted to be identified by name but our emails never would go through.

I’m a park ranger and I’m trying to learn as many constellations as possible for a stargazing program at work.  As part of that effort, I went to a lookout point near the Jackson County Airport in Cullowhee, NC on Friday evening, July 6, 2012.  Specifically, I was at a pull-off on Airport Road by the power lines when I saw something I truly can’t explain.

I was looking southeast toward the Western Carolina University campus at 10:30 p.m. when I saw a bright orange-red ball that started out small and slightly dim.  At first I thought it was a star, but then the intensity of light basically erupted and stayed extremely bright for about three minutes.  It stayed in the exact same location and was slightly pulsating.  Then it went dim again and vanished.

I’m not really sure what I saw, but from what I’ve learned through observation and online research, it wasn’t a star dying or a satellite or anything like that.  I had binoculars, so I am quite certain it was not a commercial aircraft.  Truly, I can’t explain it but thought I would at least let you know about it.

Second black helicopter reported over Bryson City, NC

Helicopter

EDITOR’S NOTE:  This is the second report we’ve received of a low-flying, unmarked black helicopter over Bryson City, NC during June 2012.  It came to us on July 2, 2012 from Marilyn Reid.  Scroll down in this section of the website to see the first report.

On Thursday, June 7, 2012 between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m., I was driving east on Highway 74 headed toward Bryson City, NC to go to the library.  As I neared the Alarka exit on the west side of town, I saw a low-flying odd helicopter in the distance coming from Bryson City and angling toward Highway 74.  I took the exit and when I turned right on Highway 19, the helicopter was pretty close to me – off to my right between Highway 74 and the gas station at that exit.

I can’t say that I saw a gun mounted on the helicopter like a witness previously reported on your website because I was trying to drive and look at it at the same time, but I can say that it was totally black and had some pretty strange angles.  It definitely wasn’t like the helicopters used by news teams or by fire fighters.

Even though I was alone in the car, I said out loud, “Well, that’s pretty odd for Bryson City.”

What I saw was about a week before the report you posted from someone who was being tailed by a black helicopter on June 7, 2012.  It sounds like the same helicopter and I thought that witness might like to know someone else saw it, too, even if it wasn’t on the same day.

Helicopter

Low-flying black helicopter with gun follows NC car

EDITOR’S NOTE: We first heard this witness report on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in a phone call from “JS” who lives in the sparsely populated community of Alarka, North Carolina.  We found the encounter with a black, unmarked helicopter more than interesting.  The next day, we received the following written report from the witness.

On Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 3:25 p.m., I was driving on Alarka Road heading to Bryson City, North Carolina. Just as I drove over the 19/74 overpass, both my son and I saw a low-flying helicopter.  We thought it a bit curious that a black unmarked helicopter was literally hovering over an area known as lower Alarka.

It was a sunny afternoon and we had a good view of the helicopter.  To our surprise, we saw what only can be described as a gun mounted on the front of it.  Having been in the military in my younger years, I thought that was odd.

As I turned right at the Exxon station on the road to Bryson City, I looked in my rearview mirror in the direction of the helicopter.  That’s when I commented out loud, “If you’re looking for a UFO, I hope you don’t find it. Maybe, I’ll get to it first.” That might seem a strange thing to say, but I and others often have seen star-size UFOs flitting above Alarka.

Anyhow, the last word wasn’t out of my mouth when the hovering helicopter zipped toward us.  It traveled parallel with my car on the driver’s side, barely flying above the trees and only about 20 to 40 feet from the road.  It flew alongside us for over a mile even though there was lots of traffic on the road.

With such a close view of the helicopter, I could clearly see that it was matte black with no FAA numbers; it had no identifying marks anywhere on it.

I could not see anyone inside because the windows were darkened, and, yes, that was a gun mounted on the front of it.  Because I still had to focus on the road, my son confirmed the characteristic openings in the metal shaft of the mounted gun.

I stopped my car at the county trash dump and the helicopter flew on past us.  Moments later it turned and came back toward us in a zigzag fashion.  Finally, it turned and flew out of our sight.

If anyone else observed this, I’d be very interested in hearing about it.

Bevy of cigar-shaped UFOs over Cullowhee, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  A woman came into where I work on June 5, 2012 and reported seeing a bevy of cigar-shaped UFOs over her home.  She couldn’t recall the exact date but said it was sometime during the week of May 14, 2012.  Below is a summary of what she told me.

Cigar Shapes

Sample photos of cigar-shaped sky ships

The witness lives on a lightly traveled road in the mountains southwest of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.   On the night of her sighting, she went outside sometime between 8 and 9 p.m.   When she glanced up at the sky, which she said was “real dark and clear,” she was surprised to see seven cigar-shaped UFOs above her house.

“They were in a cluster but not in any kind of formation,” she said.  “They were just sitting there for the entire 15 to 20 minutes I observed them.”  She also saw “alternating red and white lights” around the edge of each of the UFOs.

When I asked her to compare the size of one UFO to her thumb at arm’s length, she said each one was about “half the width of my thumb.”

Further off in the sky, she saw a second irregular cluster of cigar-shaped UFOs.  She wasn’t sure of the number in the second group, but felt it may have been seven, too.

Huge balls of light in sky near secret facility

Whenever those of us at this website hear about a UFO sighting near the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI), our ears perk up because PARI is suspected of secret military activity above and below ground.   So when a phone call came on May 6, 2012 about an unusual UFO sighting from a woman who lives just west of PARI, I pulled out a pen, notepad and lots of questions.  The following is a summary of the information gleaned from that conversation. – The Editor

The woman, who will be referred to as “Joan,” is in her late 50s and lives on the Balsam Mountain Ridge in the sparsely populated community of Little Canada in Jackson County North Carolina.

On the evening of March 17 or 18 of this year, Joan was relaxing in her hot tub.  When she looked up and north toward Sugar Creek Gap, she saw three huge yellow-white balls of light flying south toward her.  It was about 7 p.m. and she immediately yelled for her husband to bring a camera.

Balls Light

Two photos of triangular spacecrafts said to be manmade and a hand holding a basketball
to demonstrate the size of the lights seen by the witness

What amazed her most was the size of the lights.  At arm’s length compared to her thumb each one was the size of a basketball.  They were equally spaced in a triangular formation.  Staying with the ball comparison, she said the space between each of the “basketballs” would have been about the width of a soccer ball.  She believes the three lights were on a singular triangular vehicle.

In just a few seconds after seeing the lights, they instantaneously blinked out.  If she hadn’t looked up when she did, she wouldn’t have known they were in the sky because there was no sound coming from them.

In thinking about the incident, Joan noted that the entire week of her sighting she and her husband heard “big roaring jets” every night starting about 5:30 p.m. and continuing until dark.  “That has never happened before,” she emphasized.

On top of that, two days before her sighting between 2 and 3 p.m. there was a helicopter flying at tree-top level with its doors open and three men looking out and scanning the ground.  “I have to wonder what they were looking for and if it was somehow connected with the lights I saw.”

Eleven

Eleven UFOs in formation over Walkertown, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  Ironically, we learned about this North Carolina sighting from Ann Eller who lives in Arizona.  She found it posted on the National UFO Reporting Center website.  The two to three minute sighting occurred on March 14, 2012 at 8:25 p.m. over the town of Walkertown which is immediately northeast of Winston-Salem, NC.  As a point of reference on this map, Cashiers, NC is directly south of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the western tip of the state.

Seven lighted objects were observed in the southeastern sky.  They appeared larger than a star and were moving in an eastern direction uniformly but very slow.  As they moved, four additional lighted objects appeared at the rear of the original formation.

I tried to get a photograph however my children were too frightened.

The lights varied in colors of white and light pink. As they faded from view, it was as if they disappeared individually.  They were observed above the tree line at a 75 to 90 degree angle from approximately 300 yards from the trees.

This was by far the strangest and most frightening thing I have ever witnessed.  My children were literally terrified.

I contacted our local sheriff’s office who had no other reports.  Both local airports were contacted by the sheriff’s department and they had no reports either.  It was at the suggestion of the airport that this center be notified.

A phone call was also placed to the UFO Center on March 14, 2012 shortly after the sighting.  Local media was contacted but did not seem very interested – only that they would see if they had any other reports.

Alarka

Multi-colored UFO over Alarka, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this sighting report on March 11, 2012 from 16-year-old Brennan who lives in Alarka, NC.

As I was getting the clothes off the clothesline at about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, I paused for a moment and looked up at the sky.  There was a pulsing and shimmering light coming from over a mountain that’s east of my house on East Alarka Road.
It was partly cloudy that night but the clouds didn't pass over this light for some reason; they went around it or over it, but never across it.

The light had very distinct colors, like the colors of a sunset (pink, light red, orange) but the color on the outer edge of the pulsing light was a deep red.  The shimmering and pulsing light resembled the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights.  I watched this light for about three minutes and then ran inside to get my mom so I could show her the light, but when we returned outside the light was gone.

Sky Ships over Golf Club

Sky ships hovered above and south of the Sequoyah National Golf Club on Hwy. 441
in Cherokee, NC the night of February 27, 2012.  The club is located in the center of the bullseye.

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this report on March 6, 2012 from Ruth Anne Brown who lives in a Whittier community immediately south of Cherokee, NC.

Six sky ships near Cherokee golf course

I have been watching the dance in the night sky between the Moon, Venus and Jupiter.  The night of Monday, February 27, 2012, I had stepped out several times to scan the sky as I usually do. This particular time was about 10:45 p.m.

My front door faces due west and that is where the objects of my attention were.  As I looked around, I noticed a LOT of activity. I didn't think I saw the usual flashing airplane lights and there were no helicopters.

The lights of the vehicles were mostly red, turning white once in awhile.  I saw about six of those from southwest to west.  None was moving quickly and they seemed to hover above and to the south of the Sequoyah National Golf Club on Highway 441 in Cherokee.

My attention was drawn to one particular object, more westerly.  It was solid red and stationary. Then, as I watched, I KNEW it was a sky ship/starship.  Suddenly, it donned its cloaking device - oops, that was Star Trek lingo- and the ship vanished.  After that, the others gradually disappeared.

FOOTNOTE:  Ruth Anne’s sighting means there were three nights in a row of sightings at the end of February in Western North Carolina.  Previously, Glynis Heenan saw a ship perched on a hill in Cashiers, NC the night of February 25 and David Pannell saw a ship in the predawn sky from Dillsboro, NC on February 26.  Scroll down to read those two sighting reports.  Also, the night of Ruth Anne’s sighting, Glynis snapped a photo of a sky ship over Cashiers which is posted in the Sky Ship Photos section.

Sky ship lands in Cashiers, NC

EDITOR’S NOTE:  Early Sunday morning, February 26, 2012, Glynis Heenan of Cashiers, NC called and told me that a sky ship had landed near her home the night before.  Later she sent a copy of the above painting of a ship she found on the Internet that is similar to the one she saw.

A sky ship, similar to the one shown above, LANDED in Cashiers, NC the night of February 25, 2012.

After three and a half years of seeing ships scoot around the sky over Cashiers, Glynis Heenan finally saw one land.  She’d been driving her daughter back and forth all evening for various activities and saw ships whenever she left the house.

She saw them from Laurel Knob Road, from Highway 107, from White Squirrel Trail and from the EXXON station in the center of town.  Indeed, every time she looked up between the hours of 7:20 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., she saw two or three ships.  At arm’s length they each were slightly smaller than the width of her thumb.

Then on her last trip home after dropping off her daughter for a sleepover, she saw a ship perched on a hill near her home.  It was on the north side of the same paddock where she’d seen sky ships hovering low before.  She looked at her watch and it was 10:20 p.m. – exactly three hours after seeing the first ships that evening.

For seven minutes she just sat in her vehicle and watched the ship.  At arm’s length, it was at least the size of a softball.  It had a rounded light on top with smaller lights on the lower half.  She could see thin darker shadows beneath the ship that seemed to be landing legs.

“As I was watching the ship on the hill,” she explained, “I felt a sense of urgency about what is happening around the world.  I also felt like I was being prepared for an eventual face-to-face meeting with those on the ship.

“After sitting there awhile without anything else happening, I attempted to drive closer for a better view.  When that didn’t work, I reminded myself that ‘they’ were in control and if they wanted me to get a closer view, they would make it happen.  So I drove on home and kept checking the sky until about 11:30 p.m.  Each time I looked, I only saw two or three more distant ships.”

Dillsboro sighting just hours after a ship landed in Cashiers

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received the following sighting report early Sunday morning, February 26, 2012, from David Pannell.  It came right on the heels of Glynis Heenan’s report of a sky ship landing in Cashiers, NC about eight hours earlier.

I got online ASAP to let you know I saw something in the sky this morning, when I got to work!  I work at the Holiday BP station in Dillsboro, NC which is across the street from the Holiday Inn.

When I got to work this morning, I started my cleaning and one of my duties is to take out the trash to the dumpster.  On my way to the dumpster, I just happened to look up in the morning sky and there it was.

What I saw looked to be a red ball of light in the western sky in the direction of Bryson City.  It was very far away but it stuck out in the morning sky like a sore thumb because it was almost sunrise and there were no longer any stars in the sky.

After I thought about it all, I started watching this red ball of light and realized it was rotating. It wasn't rotating fast but it was a steady rotation.  I watched it for a good 15 minutes and it never moved.  It just stayed in one spot and rotated.

I finally had to get back to work and started toward the front of the store.  Before I went in, though, I decided to align the ball of light with the trees and then check it out from the other side of the building.   When I did, it was no longer there, so I went back to where I first saw the object.  It was totally gone.

I know for sure that I saw a UFO and I wanted you to be the first person I told.  It was around 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2012 that I saw it.

Silver Orb

Sky ship similar to what Cindy saw over her home near Asheville, NC

Silver orb traveled in and out of chemtrail

EDITOR’S NOTE:  We received this sighting report on January 31, 2012 from Cindy who lives in the Asheville area.

After visiting the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) in Western North Carolina on January 4, 2012, we were intrigued with the energies of the mountains surrounding the facility, so we headed up the Balsam Mountain Range.  After driving about 30-45 minutes in snow, we stopped in a small valley high in the mountains.  We were drawn to the energy in the vicinity of a dried-up lake bed we learned was Balsam Lake, part of National Forest Service land.

We felt guided at that time to do a meditation with a device that one of the people had with him called the “NeoCube.”   It’s a type of amplifier of intent that helps create a higher vibration when used in meditation.  We each sat with a cube in our lap and asked for the Ashtar Command to reveal itself in some way because I had been asking questions about it on our ride up the mountain.  We sat for several minutes and did not see or feel anything but felt our message had been heard.

The next day at 7:50 a.m., there was a single huge chemtrail right above my home south of Asheville.  We have a large number of these where I live but this one was bigger and lower than most.  It really made an impression with me. There were no other trails in the sky, just over my house, so I kept an eye on the sky throughout the day.

Then about 1 p.m., I was on my way to pick up friends for lunch.   As I sat in my car waiting on them, I started to play a YouTube video of a channeling on my phone that someone had just sent me titled “Ashtar Command.” As I played the video, I looked up through my sunroof and saw a jet with a large chemtrail above me.  There were also a lot of other trails in the sky.

As I followed the jet across my field of vision, I saw a silver orb flying behind the jet and alongside of the chemtrail. The sun was reflecting off the orb and I could see that it was saucer shaped.  It flew for maybe 15 seconds alongside the chemtrail then darted up at 90 degrees into the trail and back down for a total of about 30-45 seconds. This craft repeated this three times.

I looked down to stop the video and turn on my camera.  When I looked up again to position the camera, the craft was still there but just as I was ready to click the button, it disappeared.  I looked at my clock.  It was 1:11 p.m.  My friends got in the car two minutes later and I told them all about it.

I believe that my visit to PARI and this sighting are related.  I feel that our galactic brothers are here assisting us in the areas of chemtrail activity, areas of underground bases and places of denser energies. They come here to assist us and to help raise the vibration of these areas to raise our consciousness.
